Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, at Stavanger) is a Norwegian artist and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. The singer has released a number of high-profile cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and have been widely praised. She gained some further recognition via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering the piano in the attic of her home, and being captivated by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to make music as a means of personal growth, rather than as a way of earning money or to pursue as a hobby. They inspired her to write. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her favourite composers. Her mother was supportive of her performing her songs in public, not to achieve fame, but rather to let others know how important they are and how they can make a difference for the world. At age 6 She began playing the piano, and when she was nine, started writing songs. Her family didn't hear about her music until she reached fourteen. The dream was never to become Aurora. Aurora claims she loves creating music. According to her music, is the most effective method of expressing anything.
